Ever since their wedding day her husband had become more and more distant, even giving up on making love. She had suspected there was something wrong, but she never guessed it was something like this.
Now she’s stuck in a room with a handsome and dangerous stranger who is offering her the opportunity to wipe her husbands debts clean, if only she can win a bet. She’s got 45 minutes to give this stranger the ultimate satisfaction, and if she doesn’t she’s going to be spending the whole night here with him.
The thing is though, she’s finding herself thinking things that no married woman should ever think. Now she’s not sure if this is a bet she really wants to win.

“I’ll offer you a wager,” he said, so close I could feel his hot breath on my skin, “After all I am a gambling man. It’s 10:11 right now. If you can get me off within the hour I’ll wipe your husband’s debt clean and you both walk out of here free and clear. It’s early enough that your husband probably doesn’t have much but a couple of bruises on him. Probably even able to walk out of here on his own two feet at this point.”
“And if I can’t get you off?” I asked, trying my best to keep up a defiant gaze as he held me so very close.
“If you can’t you spend the night here with me. The whole night here with me. As my new little toy,” he grinned at this, amused by his own joke.
In that time, in that place. Held firmly in his arms. I didn’t see how I had much choice.
I gulped deeply, nodded and said, “It’s a bet.”
