My Husband’s Best Friend

Eric, my husband, hasn’t been the man I fell for in so long. He’s been sad and he’s been angry, lost to his own vices and drifting so far from the man that I once knew.

I never thought that I would be a woman who cheated. I always hated the idea of infidelity and never understood what could drive someone to it.

But my husband hasn’t been himself for so long. We haven’t shared a bed in months, and my craving for satisfaction has led me to this point.

Oliver is everything that Eric used to be. Hard and firm and undeniably masculine. He reminds me of what I once had and promises the pleasures that my husband used to give me.

I know it’s wrong to do this, to fall into the bed that I share with my husband with his best friend. I know that he’s sleeping only one room over, but I just can’t help myself.

I crave his hard body and the satisfaction it holds. I crave his touch and the feel of him inside of me.

I know that it’s wrong, but I know that I need this.

“It’s a bit late to get a ride home,” I said nervously, my fingers intertwined with themselves and nervously moving.

“Yeah,” he said, smiling that goofy smile they both had, “It is.”

“Are you going to sleep on the couch?” I asked, my voice hesitant though I didn’t know precisely why.

“Do you want me to sleep on the couch?” he asked, and I found myself shaking my head no.

There was a pause and Oliver stepped a little closer to me. I found myself trying to back up, caught between his hard body and the door behind me.

“I’m not tired,” he said.

“Neither am I.”

He reached beside me, taking hold of the doorknob and turning it to open the door as I stumbled backward through it. I caught myself one foot inside, righting myself as he stood in the doorway and filled it.

“We could keep either company tonight,” I said meekly, swallowing as I looked up at him, seeing that the goofy grin was gone.

“What kind of company?” he asked, his voice heavy with intention.

“Platonic?” I offered, biting my lip and hoping for a specific response from him.

I wanted so much at this moment. I wanted both eventualities in equal measure. I didn’t want to cheat but I wanted to be wanted and I knew that he wanted me.

And that made it so tempting to give in.

“Platonic?” he asked, “Is that what you’re really looking for?”

I knew that it wasn’t.

I knew what I needed.

I shook my head no, and this force of a man advanced on me.

In an instant, his hands were on me and he took my breath away. Gasping I let him pick me up and carry me into the room, pressing himself on me and pressing his lips against mine.

Moaning and mewling I accepted his attention, leaping up and relying on him to catch me and hold me tight to him.

I felt tiny against him, slim and petite and shaking with excitement as I felt his strong arms close around me, felt his strong hands gripping onto me. I wriggled under his touch, wrapping my legs around his firm trunk and breathing heavy into his lips as his tongue pressed into my mouth with insistence.

“What are we doing?” he gasped at me.

“I don’t care,” I whispered back, “I need this. I’ve missed this. Oh god, I’ve wanted this.”
