Cheating In Paradise

He has her pinned to the bed, his hands all over her. He’s telling her to confess her sins. She’s telling him how much she needs him.

My accident couldn’t have come at a worse time. We have our long awaited vacation in paradise and now I can’t go. So he takes my wife instead.

She tells him that she’s always wanted him. She tells him that I can’t satisfy her anymore. I watch from miles away and they don’t know I’m seeing everything.

My wife called me every day, telling me about the paradise she was in with her best and oldest friend. Today when she told me she loved me and said goodbye, she forgot to hang up. I was still on the line when he came back into view.

Her cries of pleasure are broken only by his demands for more. More confessions from my wife. More truths that are so hard for me to hear.

She told me he was just her old friend, that there had never been anything between them. But things had been simmering beneath the surface for so long and all it took was a moment like this for all of it to erupt.

For him to make her his. For him to claim what should have always belonged to him.

And me? All I can do is watch.

“Chance,” my wife mewled, “We shouldn’t.”

“You shouldn’t,” he countered, “I don’t have a ring on my finger. I didn’t make any promises, and as you and your husband have been so fond of reminding me, I’m your husband this week. So shouldn’t your husband get what he needs?”

“He didn’t mean it like that,” she protested.

He smiled, “I noticed you didn’t include yourself in that.”

Lily opened her mouth to say something, but she didn’t say a word. So instead of letting her talk, Chance kept on going.

“Do you know what your husband told me, just before you tackled me earlier so that you could get your hands all over me again? He compared this island to Vegas and you know what the rule in Vegas is, right? What happens there, stays there. You fill in the blanks.”

“Chance,” she said, her voice so weak as the last of her resolve melted away.

“Last night you told me yourself what he said. How he got when you teased those men on purpose. How it drove him crazy and you could see it in his eyes while he fucked you. How he didn’t say a word when you practically called out my name.”

My view of them was shaking and I wondered for an instant if there was an earthquake where they were. But no it was just my hands trembling as I watched this happen.

“Lily I want this,” he said bluntly, “Your husband clearly wants this. And I think you do too. So tell me, Lily. You’re stuck here on this island with me for a full week. Do you really think you’re going to last that whole time?”

I watched her, intent, as the last of her hesitation melted away. She reached for him and he smiled, knowing that she was his at last.

His for a full week, but nothing more. He would take her that week as many times as he could and then leave her, throwing her back to me like he didn’t want her any more.

Chance wasn’t the type of guy who got into relationships. He was the type of guy who fucked until he got bored and then moved on. He was good at what he did, good at worming his way in with his charms and his smiles and then walking out the door leaving those women feeling like he’d cared about them.

Leaving them heartbroken.

I’d seen the evidence over the years. Watched the tears run and watched those women try to recover. Some were lucky, some were devastated. Only time could tell where Lily fell.

But fall she did, falling into him as he pressed his lips against her and she fought against her own instincts and what she knew was right. She moaned as he pressed his tongue into her mouth, grinding his hips against her and making her feel every inch of him.

His hips bucked rhythmically against her as she wrapped her thighs around him. She slid her hands up and pulled his head down to her with a hard grip, holding him desperately like she was afraid this was all a dream that could slip away in an instant.

But it wasn’t a dream. There was so much bare skin on display. His and her bodies nearly naked but for their swimsuits, skin glistening from the sun and warm from it, as their hands began to roam.

And my hand grew steady, that was the part that shocked me the most.
